Charity quilt

Nearly every month I donate my longarm skills to the local quilt guild. One of the quilts I selected this month is a real beauty. The piecing seems flawless, colors are well-balanced, & it’s a joy to work on. I don’t even mind too much the necessary stitching in the ditch (SID), which is what I did today, along with a pantograph in the wide (9 in.) top border.

Tomorrow I will continue SID in the rest of the blocks, do the bottom border, & turn the quilt to do the side borders. With all that stabilization in place, I can begin free motion custom quilting in the blocks & setting triangles.
