Gammill Workstation

The quilt on my frame is called Blue Crescendo. It has spikey blue Wedgework blocks arranged on point, on a cream/beige background. The large setting triangles beg for beautiful quilting, but are daunting in size. The fabric is too light for chalk to show through my stencils, so I’m using a different method.

Klondike (my longarm) has a mounted stylus which rides in the grooves of the Gammill Workstation disks, hand guided from the back of the machine. I’m combining some lines from the Points & Scallops disk with the two largest outermost circles of the Circle disk.

Using these guide-lines I will develop a trapunto-type design surrounded with feather work. Stay tuned…
